Jasand Pereza
Entrepreneur | Engineering Lead | Product-Driven Developer
I am an engineering leader + a full-stack software engineer who leverages tools such as Node.js, and React to create delightful, full-stack solutions. I use business intelligence to make informed decisions around improving product, and user experience.
My roots are deep in design which is present with me for every project I dedicate my time to. My work may seem frontend leaning (because flashy), however I have extensive professional experience in SQL, backend APIs and infrastructure.
Featured Side Projects
[BattleSquatch]
Entertainment platform, content creation tool, games
For game developers, and artists struggling to get their products off the ground, BattleSquatch's AI-centric platform provides tools for creating and monetizing digital entertainment in the form of games, animated shorts, and 3D trading cards, which is available to purchase and play through the marketplace.
BattleSquatch is in beta testing with only card content creation tools available. Other digital content types will be available in the future.
[ChipChamp]
Rewards application for families, educational institutions, and individuals
ChipChamp
ChipChamp is an application that lets us reward and recognize individuals and teams for their efforts small and large.
ChipChamp is software that provides the functionality to log and reward when an individual or group completes tasks. Rewarding first takes place through giving chip points which can then be deducted when they are used to redeem rewards, which is up to parents and teachers on what those rewards are.
[Christmas 2021 Digital Holiday Card]
Single page, experimental 3D holiday card using Three.js
The Pereza Christmas holiday card was a fun side project that consists of a 3D, interactive landscape, with snow falling from atop. Music plays in the background to set the vibe of an enchanted Christmas night. Using my expertise in 3D modeling, I created the majority of the globe from scratch using Blender 3D software.
[Figma Plugin]
Drop assets directly from Creative Market's extensive library straight into Figma. This one is not a side project.
While on an R&D team at Creative Market, we were tasked with finding ways to provide more value to designers. It was at a time when the company was exploring subscriptions as a model, and the idea to allow subscribers and potential users, access to millions of design assets as the're designing, in-app was the most appealing.
Figma already had a lot of traction within the design space, so we set off to build a working Figma plugin prototype. The prototype was polished enough to present and demonstrated the power of design at your fingertips. We got a unanimous buy-in to proceed with a go-to-market plan and set off to build it.
Over the course of several months, I led the project to completion, where it eventually launched as a resource in Figma's plugin directory.
